In turn we accept the responsibility of providing the best that education can offer - and much more.

So you would like a career in Beauty Therapy.

The choice of training is wide, and can be confusing. In a way, Beauty Schools are like any other independent school - some are good, some not so good, and none are cheap. If you, or your parents, are about to invest a significant sum in your future, all of you will need to be satisfied that your money is about to be well spent.

The Qualifications.

Ensure that the syllabus leads to a diploma awarded by a recognised external awarding body, such as International Aestheticiennes and VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust). Students are assessed through continuous assessment and/or final examination, by impartial examiners or external verifiers, appointed by the awarding bodies.

Many employers will place more importance on the reputation and standard of the school, than the qualifications achieved. Diplomas specify your attainment; the school indicates the way you were taught. The name of Lillian Maund is renowned throughout the world for the quality of her beauty training.

Take the trouble to telephone an employer in the major fields of beauty, such as beauty salons, suppliers of beauty equipment, or a well-known health farm, and ask what they think. They have knowledge of and a vested interest in, the quality of students and will give you an impartial opinion of Lillian Maund Graduates.

Finally....... ask some questions of yourself.

If all the answers are yes, and you choose your place of training with care, read on, many exciting career avenues are open to you.
